Final Reflection.

1. Did you find that being part of the Hunter College early college program better prepared you for your future college career? How so?
-This program prepared me for college in that it taught me how to study as well as time management. It taught me how professors are going to be like and how they grade. I learned how to prepare for a final exam and how to take notes during lectures. I feel very confident going into college now than before.

2. What were some obstacles that you faced during the course of this year? How did you overcome them?
-Some obstacles I faced during the course this year were the exams and tests given out by my professors. I learned from this that in class they will teach one thing, but on the test it will be the harder version of that. Another obstacle was taking notes during a lecture. In a classroom of about 200 students and only 1 teacher who goes by the lesson plan very fast, it becomes difficult to take notes and pay close attention.

3.  What were some of the lessons that you learned this year from Fiction Writing class that you would be able to bring into your writing in the future?  What did you learn about yourself as a writer this year?
-What I learned was how to plot out my stories. I also learned many techniques writers used to make a good story such as flashbacks and slow motion writing. Mrs. Defeo taught me many things when writing my final fiction story, such as to show my characters wants and needs throughout the story and she also taught me to have confidence in my writing.
4. What Hunter College courses did you take this year? Which were your favorite ones and why?  If there was a course you took that you did not enjoy, what was it and why?
- The Hunter College courses I took were Bio 150, Math 125 and Eng 120. My favorite of the three classes was English 120. My professor, Greta Wagle, was amazing and very fun and taught the class very well. The course I absolutely did not enjoy was Math 125. My professor, I forgot his name, was very boring and did not know how to teach. He made his exams so much harder than what he actually taught. He made me hate math.
5. What do you still need to work on in order to be an even more successful college student? How do you plan on working on these skills?
-I still need to work on my test taking skills as well as my note taking skills.
6. Where did you study on the Hunter College campus this year? What facilities did you use at Hunter this year?
-I studied mainly on the B2 level of the Hunter Library because it was the emptiest and quietest part of the library.
7. What have you learned about yourself by being a part of this early college program?
-I have learned how to not procrastinate to much on homework or projects.
8. Where will you be attending school in Fall 2012?
-I will be attending Hunter College in Fall 2012
9. What are your personal goals for the future? Where do you see yourself in 5 years? In 10 years? In 20 years?
-In five years I hope to see myself graduating from Hunter Nursing School. In 10 years I hope to see myself working and starting a family. In 20 years I hope to see myself still working and traveling to Ecuador to help my cousins foundation for disabled children.
10. What advice do you have to give to future MHSHS students in order to help them prepare for this experience?
-For the love of GOD, don't procrastinate.
