Double Trouble

It was hot day like today, Freddie thought. Today is the first day of community service work for himself and his twin sister Lucy. How had they gotten themselves in this mess, Freddie asked himself. The sun burns his pale skin just as it had a month ago. Freddie couldn't stand staying at home with his stepfather after his mother died so Freddie concocted a plan to run away to Cardiff.
"We've only got about 200 quid left Freds! What are we going to do when we get into Wales?" Lucy panicked as they approached the end of the M4 Motorway into South Wales.
"Don't worry Lu, I'll protect us both. I have a few mates in Cardiff bay that can get us a few jobs and a flat" Freddie said as he closed in on flashing lights at the end of the bridge.
"Earth to Fred!" Lucy said as Freddie shakes his head vigorously. The heat is starting to get to him. His head pounds because of the immense heat beaming down on him. Fred touches the scar right above his left brow and traces it with his finger tip remembering how he got it.
"You are under arrest for the theft of Tony Stonem's vehicle." Of course, Freddie thought, They're stepfather. 
"You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned something which you later rely on in court. Anything you do say may be given in evidence." The police stated. 
"Piss off you tosser!" Yelled his sister. The police slammed them both down on the hood of that ridiculous bright yellow and blue car leaving Freddie with a slight head injury as they cuffed them both. 
"Come on Fred pick up the pace!" Ordered Lucy as she whipped her paint brush in his direction splashing some on his neck. Fred dipped his paint brush back into the container and continued to touch up the park bench. One hour down, 549 more to go.
